The Light-Wing System is a mounting system,
completely waterproof without the use of any kind of seal:
no silicon, no plastic materials or any other polymer.
This is a classic Y-beam commonly used in industrial buildings
First: special clamps are positioned on the Y beam without drilling the concrete,
avoiding any damage to the building.
The main framework of the structure is interlocked to the special clamps.
An open-able window is mounted on the back of the structure.
A hail resistant polycarbonate with anti UVA features is used.
No screws, only different kinds of interlocking system are used
in the entire assembly process. Finally, the PV module
slips inside the Light-Wing System using a specially designed frame.
The water is channeled and falls by gravity along planned paths.
Same step seen from a different angle: you can clearly see the part of the
structure acting as a gutter. The system is completed with a
"shoulder" fixed with an interlocking mechanism.

Workers need almost no tools to install the system,
this allows a faster mounting and a greater safety.

The system seen from inside the building. The PV module becomes a structural
component of the coverage. Lots of natural light indeed.

Aerial view of the same system. This is the biggest existing PV system of
this kind. No silicon, no plastic materials or
other polymeric seals to ensure waterproof properties.
This last slide shows the evolution of the Light-Wing System,
now suitable for standard pitched roofs.
