What is going on YouTube, this is Echo Troop, and I am here to bring you another video relating
to the Xbox One. Except in this episode, we will be diving into some information that
has been disclosed about the controller of the Xbox One. The gameplay in the background
is me playing on Carrier with a full party. I am running a VTOL, K9, and Swarm, and also
manage to get those killstreaks later on in the game. But anyways, the gameplay in the
background has no relevance to the video; it is just something for you to watch. Now
before I start, this video will probably be broken up into two separate videos, but if
we can reach 40 likes on this video, I'll release "Part 2" on the same day that we reach
our goal. So please like this video. Now according to my research that I have done,
Microsoft has done 20 studies around the world with over 500 testers to design the next Xbox
controller. Each of the 500 chosen participants proposed new ideas for the controller, which
has all been taken into consideration. As of today, Microsoft has announced that they
have settled on their final Xbox One controller design. They claim that they have added 40
new features and innovations, both minor and drastic, along with creating 200 prototypes.
Now let's go right into the features or innovations that will be added to the controller.
OK, the first implementation that is on the new controller is the increased vibration
motors. For those who haven't disassembled, or have seen people disassemble a 360 controller,
there are only 2 vibration motors total, with each vibrator located where your palm rests
on the controller, if that makes any sense to you guys. But anyways, the Xbox One controller
should have a vibration motor located on both ends of the controller where the palm rests,
along with 2 additional motors, with 1 small motor behind each trigger. This will equal
to a total of 4 vibration motors. This is said to make the user have more depth in the
game where explosions, car crashed, and gunshots should seem almost realistic.
The second feature that they have mentioned is the higher quality headset audio. Going
more in depth on this, because of the upgraded processors on the Xbox One, the rate in which
data transfers between device to device is also increased. So for those who use a wireless
or Bluetooth headset, this means there will be a reduced connection lag between the headset
and the console. The department that is in charge of producing the Xbox One also mentions
that in-game chat over Xbox Live will be many times for clearer than talking through a phone.
This is something that I don't get because depending on how well game-developers code
or program the in-game chat system, it is going to vary on the quality from game to
game. But hey, they are the one that is making the new console, not me.
Going back on topic, the next thing that they mention is the revamped thumbsticks. According
to the team, they rebuilt the thumbsticks for better precision and comfort. If you have
ever seen the controller for the Xbox One, you would have seen a knurled texture on the
rim of the thumbsticks. They say that this will result in better grip. Also, this might
please the competitive gamers with what I have to say. They state that the sticks require
25% less force to move. So that means that you will need less effort to move from one
end of the thumbsticks to the other. So that will make you tryhards happy.
The last thing that I want to talk about for this video is about the brand new D-Pad. Unlike
the 360 D-Pad, the Xbox One's D-Pad is designed to deliver more precision and tactical feedback
for gaming. The new D-Pad's cross shape is made to give you a sense of what button you
are pressing on. This is more catered towards the people who have very large fingers, where
if they rest their thumbs on the 360 D-Pad, it covers the whole thing up.
Anyways, that is all for this episode. If you enjoyed this vide or learned something
new, feel free to drop a like or favorite. Also, since leave a comment on whether you
are going to buy an Xbox One or PS4 on the release of the two consoles. Along with that,
remember guys, if we can reach 40 likes on this video, then I will release Part 2 of
this video on the same day that we achieve that goal. So I will see you guys in the next
episode. Later.
