Is there, or should there be any limit to the number of playlists you create, or just
go unlimited? I have five for different subjects. Do you guys have any takes on how many playlists
you should have? I guess it depends on if you have several series on your channel. It
might be good to have a playlist for every one of those. I think I have a music one,
best of Cocoa Bean, your favorites. Videos that I like from other channels. I use it
more of an organizational feature, I suppose. If people like this music video, then here
they can go to watch a bunch more. And if they thought my son was cute in this one,
here's one that will probably make you laugh. too. Put everything that should be in a playlist
in a playlist, especially if you own the videos because there's a checkbox that makes it auto-play
when someone stumbles across one of your videos. So, say Tim Schmoyer has how-to videos. If
someone randomly stumbles across one of his how-to videos just by searching in YouTube,
if he has that in a playlist, and he has the feature selected where it says "Display all
of these" on the right-hand side, then when someone clicks on his video, now, on the right-
hand side, all of his videos are populated in a playlist. Whereas, if they were not in
a playlist, it would be an ad now instead of all of his videos. So definitely put everything
into a playlist because it's beneficial to you. You don't have to show it on your page
though. So if it's in a playlist, you don't have to have that playlist show up on your
channel. So on YouTube.com/ScooterMagruder I have a whole bunch of playlists, but not
all of them are visible to you. It's only when you watch the video that all the other
videos show up in the right-hand side.
