This is our second episode of Music Centipede,
which is just a pervy name for Six Degrees,
and in our first episode we connect David Lee Roth to Beyonce
and asked you where we should go next.
Well
AdameyeDJ
you asked for Skrillex
and so now we are connecting Beyonce to Skrillex.
Beyonce Knowles is a treasure.
Take a breath.
Hold the air in your lungs.
Your lungs are now filled with the same air that
Sasha Fierce used to gift us with “Single Ladies.”
And to record “Summertime” from the Fighting Temptations soundtrack,
a song that was produced by and featured P. Diddy.
P. Diddy is best known as the designer of the Dallas Maverick’s alternate jersey,
but he did try to kickstart a music career in 1999 when he
guesting on the Nas track, “Hate Me Now.”
The whole thing ended with Diddy smashing Nas’ manager
in the head with a champagne bottle.
Nas was featured on Damian Marley’s “Road to Zion” from
his 2005’s multiple Grammy-winning album, Welcome to Jamrock.
Some emo kid took a bunch of vocal samples from that record and
built a bunch of instrumentals that he sent to Damian
who actually recorded original vocals for a single that
ended up being called “Make It Bun Dem.”
That emo kid? That single? Skrillex, dudes.
We did it in four!
Eat it, internet!
Who’s next?
Tell us who you want to see connected to Skrillex in six degrees or less
in the comments.
Do it now!
Try to stump us!
And subscibe for more episodes of Music Centipede.
