What is the best way to cook chicken? I mean, in a way that doesn’t make it the tasteless
and rubbery meal, that gets described as being like everything else, from flavorless fish
to alligator.
You need to lock in the flavor, by either wrapping it in foil, or cooking it in a layer
of oil or sauce.
Smother it, or drown it. Got it.
One of the simplest ways to cook chicken is to bake it for 20 to 40 minutes, depending
on the portion size. You can put spice rubs or breading on it before hand and sauce afterward.
I keep getting food poisoning when I do that.
You need to thaw out the chicken in the fridge before you cook it. Cook it at 350 to 400
degrees until the inside is 160 degrees, no matter how big it is.
I’d rather just fry it.
Cut the chicken into thin strips, bread it, layer in oil and then bake for 35 minutes
in the oven.
You really like cooking chicken in the oven.
It’s safer than trying to cook it in a turkey fryer. Any time anyone in my family touches
one of those, we get a massive explosion or set the deck on fire.
Remind me not to come to your house for holiday dinner. Why is chicken so popular in the first
place?
Chicken is one of the cheapest meats on the market. And it is versatile, because you can
add any spice or sauce to it and it tastes good.
As long as it isn’t raw, or frozen, or burnt. Or a dried out husk.
Chicken doesn’t have much fat, so it gets dry if you cook it too long. You can either
check the temperature regularly, soak it in brine before cooking or cook it wrapped in
foil.
Or feed it to the dog. He only cares that it is real meat and doesn’t burn his mouth.
Is that why your dog is so fat?
