3 Proven Ways to Maximize Your Productivity While Traveling
Hi. My name is Armand Assadi and I run the Freedom Lifestyle at
WhyILeftGoogle.com. You may not know this, but it's raining right now. And in Thailand,
people like to wear their sunglasses when it rains. So do as the Thai do is what I
say. I'm completely joking but at least now I have your attention. You're going to be
learning three things by watching this video, three things that I've learned in the last
month while traveling around Southeast Asia. And these three things are applicable no
matter where you are in the world universally. So you will now be able to travel the
world and stay as productive as possible with these three tips.
But first, I should probably tell you why I'm here and where I am. Right behind me is
the white temple in Chiang Rai which is a very,
very incredible famous temple. And today, I'm
working even though I'm here traveling around this temple. And one of the tricks that I'm
about to show you is going to tell you exactly how you can still manage to go
sightseeing in the rain wearing your shades if you want to and still get things done,
and not have this sense of guilt that you're not
getting anything done while you're traveling. Because if you're en entrepreneur
like me, you're going to feel that same anxiety every time you're traveling and feeling
like you need to be getting work done.
So tip number one, always, always, always carry your gear. If you're a photographer,
carry your camera, hopefully a Nikon. If you're a blogger, carry your laptop. If you are a
social media expert and you need to check Facebook newsfeed every five seconds,
carry your iPhone. And yes, this is being shot on an iPhone. So no matter what it is
you need, lesson learned from me is always carry
your things. You never know when you're going to have downtime and you're going to
be able to bust out the laptop. There is Wi Fi connection everywhere. I have not run into
a single place yet that didn't have a reliable Wi Fi connection.
And that leads us to tip number two. Tip number two, always set aside at least three
hours every single day to get work done, uninterrupted time, three hours. So why do we
do that? Because you may go sightseeing in the morning, you may go out to the bars at
night. But if you know that you're going to set aside three hours to get things done,
you'll feel good, you'll get caught up, and you'll
actually be able to make progress on your projects. Three hours is just enough time
where you avoid the distractions and you do the most important tasks.
And tip number three, work offline. There's a lot of time that you might be traveling
around on the bus for eight hours or you might be on a slow boat to Laos for two days
which is what I'm about to do. Charge everything up and get it ready to work
offline. Setup Gmail offline, set your calendars to work offline. Whatever it is that you're
working on at the moment, make it so that you get as much done when you're online
and carry the rest over to your offline time so you're not sitting there bored out of your
mind on a boat or on the bus.
So that's it. I hope you enjoyed, and please, please do me one massive big favor and
share this with your friends because I'm sure that they've felt these feelings before, and
I'll be very grateful for it. So thank you so much and remember to hit that like button
because if you loved it, a like is nothing at all. Take care until next time.
