IT'S DIFFERENT FROM MOST TYPES
OF MOTOR RACING BECAUSE IT USES
STREET LEGAL CARS ON OFF-ROAD
COURSES.
THE WHOLE POINT IS TO PUSH THE
LIMITS ON UNFAMILIAR TERRAIN AND
TO BE READY FOR ANYTHING.
IT MAY LOOK LIKE TIM IS JUST
MOVING THE WHEEL BACK AND FORTH
BUT HE'S ACTUALLY DOING MANY
THINGS AT ONCE, BOTH MENTAL AND
PHYSICAL.
HE'S CONSTANTLY EVALUATING THE
ROAD AHEAD FOR TURNS, ON
INSTRUCTIONS, TERRAIN, AND
VISIBILITY, THEN CALCULATING
WHICH OF A DOZEN MANEUVERS HE
SHOULD USE TO GET AROUND THE
NEXT BEND.
EVERY MANEUVER IS EXCEPTIONALLY
TECHNICAL.
HE'S DOING ALL OF THIS AT
50-PLUS MILES AN HOUR ON A ROAD
