I made it to Day 45!
I'm actually halfway through the program.
Wow... time really flew by fast.
It didn't feel like its been 45 days... it feels like I started P90X last week.
I realize I'll be finished with the program before I know it.
Anyway... how do I feel?
It's a bittersweet feeling...
For a few reasons...
Even though it's Day 45 and I've seen results
Tiny results that only I could notice because I know my own body very well.
So I've begun to notice muscles developing in areas that I never had to begin with.
I also notice my clothes are a better fit.
And some pieces are loose.
Like for example, the pair of jeans I wore today, I could take them off without having to unbutton them.
That amazed me. Those jeans were a tight fit on me approximately a year ago.
It's interesting...
On the other hand, my numbers on the scale remains the same.
My weight is the same. My body fat percentage is the same.
Truthfully, I'm puzzled. I'm not sure what to make of it.
Does it mean I'm not working hard enough? Or I'm not pushing myself hard enough?
I mean, whether or not if I should start adding heavier weights/dumbbells.
I'm not sure what to think.
I told myself, "Believe in the program."
And that maybe I'm hitting a plateau.
Maybe in the next 1 or 2 weeks, I'll break out of my plateau because I'll be starting the third month the week after next.
So... we'll see.
Oh also, you won't believe what happened yesterday!
At school, where I work, and I was in the restroom...
As I was drying off my hands, a student walked by and (I think she was a freshman)
She said "Hi" and I greeted her as well.
She then asked "Are you pregnant?"
I said "No, I'm not pregnant. Sorry."
She said "Oh..." and continued to look at me. I asked her why she thought I was pregnant.
She said she saw what looked like a baby bump.
That made sense to me because I happened to be wearing a thick loose-fitting black cable vest.
I asked her, "Oh, is it because of the vest I'm wearing?"
She replied, "No, it really looks like you have a baby bump."
And I said "Oh, I see." I reassured her again that I wasn't pregnant.
I laughed to myself...
It was the first time I'd ever gotten a comment like that.
She seemed disappointed that I wasn't pregnant. Go figure!
She was still standing there, and I was anxious to have this awkward conversation done with!
She looked at me again, and asked me "Are you sure you're not?"
I said, "Yes, I'm quite sure I'm not pregnant!" After that, she finally went on her way.
I wondered maybe my posture did make it look like I had a baby bump, I don't know...
I don't have the best posture at times...
Oh, and another thing happened yesterday. I was on my laptop at home.
My dog (Bruno) was playing peekaboo on the stairs, and I saw this black strap in his mouth...
OH NO! He must've eaten something.
I went over to him and found that he'd been snacking on my NEW heart rate monitor! I'd only used it once!
It was chewed through irreparably. Bummer.
So I threw it out. I don't know if I'll get a new one.
Maybe if my numbers don't change, I'll go out and get a new one.
It'll have to be a better kind!
Tomorrow's Day 46.
