Hi it’s Bobby again, I thought I would just mention something about the Professorial lectures
and the way that they can inform your understanding of your subject in a different way than the
understanding you get from your degree subject. So for me, personally, I've really enjoyed
the lectures organised by Professor Ronald Dworkin so far. One of which was conducted
by Prof Tasioulas, who is a Professor of Jurisprudence at UCL, on the subject of Human Rights and
the moral foundations of them. Something which we are going to cover in more detail in public
law (which is one module of my degree subject), is to do with the legal foundations of Human
Rights and their Constitutional significance in the UK and in other countries. The discussion
we had in the lecture with Professor Tasioulas on the moral foundations of something which
also has legal foundations was really interesting and broadened my understanding of the subject,
perhaps in a way in which I might not have gained without the added lectures.
