This is Radio Netherlands presenting the international programme of the Happy Station.
As on every Sunday at this time, here's your host: Edward Startz.
Whatever will be, will be. This is an old truth.
Yes, whatever will be, will be.
In spite of that, poet, my friend, are you sure you're right?
In the furthest corners of the planet, aren't there cities?
Haven't you ever heard of Bamako, Ouagadougou...
Niamey, Kinshasa, Nairobi...
Bangui, Ndjamena, and there are others.
These cities are also part of Africa.
If not, then where is Africa?
-What are you going to sing?
-How do you say that in Spanish? I'll wait for you.
I'll wait for you. But you're going to have to wait a minute...
because you're only scheduled to sing in three hours from now. Thank you very much.
It has been nine years since...
I took this programme over from the founder, Eddy Startz.
He presented it for 41 years. We always received a lot of reactions from the Caribbean...
Not only from the Dutch Antilles, but also the Leeward Islands. I don't want to forget them as we did this morning.
Tom, just listen. We know how important words are.
But sometimes words have to be turned into action. I'm not only going to say it, I'm going to do it: give you a kiss.
-And I'm going to kiss you back.
