Breaking news people! The panda cam is down.
Yes, the government shutdown means the National Zoo is not open, and its panda cam is down.

sanity, has been taken. (Via YouTube / Smithsonian's National Zoo)
We might sound like we're joking because of this dramatic voice. We're not. The way we're
seeing it — the shutdown basically means all the cool stuff is gone. The Smithsonian's
19 museums and galleries will not be open to the public.

Because no one is working there. Because the government is shut down.
According to CNN, all 401 National Park Service sites will close — they average about 715,000
collective visitors a day in the month of October.
So, you try to work hard. You try to live your life and contribute to society and get
a little bit of happiness on a day out with your family at the zoo. That's not gonna happen.
But you still get to LIVE, right?
Nope. Wrong. The Twitter account that monitors potentially Earth-flattening, life-ending
asteroids hurling at us from space? It's down.
"In the event of government shutdown, we will not be posting or responding from this account.
We sincerely hope to resume tweets soon."
Bruce Willis isn't coming for us, guys. I'm done.
