Part three of How to use this Power Point Template
Using your data. Charts and graphics are a great way to engage
your audience and illustrate a point. To do so
You simply need to select a new slide with a chart in it.
The reason you need to do this is that there is an Excel spread sheet embedded within that
chart. Simply double-click the chart icon.
On a Mac your tool bar will open. On a PC a pop-up menu will open.
They both do the same thing.
Once selected. It will open up an Excel file with a table
in it Where you can insert your data.
To format your chart. Simply double-click a data point
A pop-up menu will open And select “Format Data Point”
This open a format chart Navigate to pictures and textures.
Select a picture. This open a navigation window.
Navigate to the work folder you had opened when you downloaded this template.
Open the “Our Template” folder The “Assets” folder
And the “Texture Fills” folder Inside that folder you will find a number
of colors You can use to format your charts
You can also insert data labels to provide context for the information on your charts.
The one thing that they all have in common is
Charts need to be simple and easy to read. Because much like the three-second rule with
text Charts contain a lot of information that can
distract your audience from what your trying to say.
There are a wide variety of charts to choose from
Columns
Bars
Doughnuts
Stacked Area
Staked Columns
Stacked Bars Inside the assets folder
You’ll find a number of images that You can use to create a wide
Variety of charts and graphics Use these
To illustrate points Engage your audience
Or provide pertinent information The bottom line is
You can be creative The one thing you need to consider when selecting
your graphics Is that they need to provide clarity and context
to the information you are providing your audience.
This is the end of part three I want to thank you for participating in Log
