Adding coloured labels to assist us in our post-production workflow
This image requires more work than Adobe Camera Raw will be able to do so I am giving this image a Red label to indicate that it needs Retouching
I believe that this image will only require editing in Adobe Camera Raw
Since I do not have a coloured label to indicate this so I have to go back to Preferences and rename one of the existing labels … I will rename the Yellow label to ‘Good to Go’ ...
We now have some images with labels and some without but they all have star ratings ...
I am going to leave it to you to continue this process with the rest of the images
We need to discuss the other Filter options that are available to us
There are no Keywords yet but we will get to that shortly.
We can sort based on ISO rating - maybe we have to do more noise reduction on some images …..
The 35 - 105mm lens is not a good quality lens so you will have to sharpen more that the default setting - select those images and go back to ACR and increase in sharpening value

I have the camera Model option and Serial Number option available here because in my Collection I have images from 2 cameras.
You can if necessary, do different ACR adjustments based on different Models or if the same Model, different Serial Numbers. Remember each camera behaves differently.
And now, Keywording …. very important in helping you sort through your images in the future
Currently there is no metadata in the IPTC Core Panel and we need to put some in ...
For this demo I am going to either create a new Metadata Template or use on e of my existing templates
If I do not have a Template then I would make a new one

Do not put in your address unless you have a Studio outside of your home.
Do not insert keywords here either because this is for every image you import for the current year. This is a Global thing. Keywords are specific to images ...
I am going to cancel out of that and use one of my existing templates
Since I do nat have a template for this current year, 2013, I will make one now.
I am going to apply an existing template just to show how easy it is to do this but it will be the wrong year so I will have to edit that template and save it using a different name

Just verifying my information
I realized afterwards that I omitted changing the email address in the Copyright Notice section … ooppps
Select All - Choose Replace Metadata Template to get rid of all the current info and only have what is in the new template
We need to add a description and since I already have that info in a text document I can just copy and paste it

I know, i missed one, again … :-)
Adding generic keywords - select all images

Selecting a different group of images to apply a different description
Just talking about the importance of adding Metadata which was covered in class ……
