Today we have with us a 2012 Ford Focus and we're going to be test fitting the Glacier
Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW1038. To fit our tire chains to our focus, we're
going to make sure that we have the steering wheel turned all the way to one direction
or the other so that we can access behind the tire of the vehicle. We're going to set
the chains over the top of the tire and try to get them as even from the inside to outside
as possible. Next we're going to roll our vehicle onto the chains, you can either go
forwards or backwards so that we can get the tire over the chains and get our ends where
we can connect them. We'll fit the stops through the one end of the cable chain through the
hooks on the other. You want to make sure that you match each side stop for stop or
you're within one stop. If you are two stops difference or more, the
chain will not sit evenly or correctly on the tire. At this point, you may want to drive
the vehicle a little bit to make sure that you don't need to tighten them up anymore.
You may also want to use the optional tensioners, part number PW100, to put tension on the chain
and hold them tight to your tire. That does it for our test fit of the Glacier Cable Snow
Tire Chains, part number PW1038, on our 2012 Ford Focus.
