Oh, sorry about that Indy. Hi, I'm Rokosz, your digital lifestyle expert, and we're talkin'
about where the Nintendo Wii was invented. Well, it was invented and developed in the
corporate headquarters in Japan. Now the Wii was conceived in 2001, not too far after the
Game Cube's release. They were already thinkin' what's the next biggest and best thing. Now,
it wasn't released till' almost six full years later, but the development, as you can see,
or if you've played this system was well worth the time. They've made paramount jumps. Even
the Nintendo DS, their portable gaming system is said to have an influence on what came
up from this motion control activated awesome gaming experience. In fact, a little bit of
trivia is that during development it was referred to, its working title was the Nintendo Revolution.
Now, it merged into the Wii, and has really revolutionized things with both having the
the Wii, the W-i-i- and then the Mii's, the M-i-i's which are the little avatars that
you create, and those, and those avatars can be imported into games so you can play as
yourself or or a a fantasy avatar of yours. Those avatars or Mii's can be done online
when we're, when you're playing people from around your region or around your world. A
lot of the games now; you find your favorite game and there's nobody, you don't want to
play the computer; you want to play another person? Pop up online and you can see the
other people's Mii's and play em' that way. So, invented at Nintendo's headquarters in
Tokyo, Japan. Once it hit the market in late 2006, early 2007 they got snapped up and became
quite a commodity. That's when I got one. And I 'm Rokosz, your digital lifestyle expert.
Wii ya' later.
