This is the unboxing of the Logitech MK550 keyboard mouse combo.
I bought this refurbished from Newegg, so the original box with the nice pictures on
it was not included. It didn't come with the printed manual either.
It has what's called the Comfort Wave Design, meaning that the keyboard has wave-shaped
contours to support the actual varied lengths of your fingers.
The backside of the keyboard has adjustable legs that let you adjust the inclination of
the keyboard to either 4 or 8 degrees. Just to the right of the on off switch, you can
also see the battery compartment. It accepts 2 AA batteries and they're supposed to last
upto 3 years before needing replacement. The bottom of the keyboard has a cushioned
palm rest, which I found really comfortable when I use it to support my hands while typing.
The mouse has rubberized, contoured sides that feel very comfortable to grip and use.
Aside from the wheel mouse, it supports side-to-side scrolling and it has two extra side buttons
you can use for moving back and forward when browsing web pages.
You'll find the on off button and the battery compartment under the mouse. Just like the
keyboard, it accepts two AA batteries, which are supposed to last up to 2 years before
needing replacement. This is also where you can store the unifying receiver when you're
on the go. Finally , we have the receiver extender cable.
I imagine this will be extra useful in those cases when you're not able to plug-in the
unifying receiver directly into the USB port.
