We're here at the launch of Harmony Day for 2011. It's been a wonderful announcement and
celebration so far but I'd like to introduce Sally from the Scanlon Foundation.
The Scanlon Foundation have a wonderful program called "A Taste Of Harmony" which supports
and promotes workplace diversity. Sally, tell us a little more about the Scanlon Foundation program.
A Taste of Harmony kicks off on National Harmony Day on the 21st March and it's a week long event.
It's really simple. Workplaces register on our website, tasteofharmony.org.au,
get some colleagues together, ask everyone to bring a dish that represents their cultural
background and then share that meal and some stories with each other and learn more about
the diversity that exists within their workplace.
That's fantastic! What I like about the A Taste of Harmony is that it's part of the
broader Harmony Day celebrations and it's just brilliant that people like Peter Scanlon
make this kind of personal and serious investment through his foundation into Harmony Day and
all that it means for celebrating diversity and multiculturalism in Australia.
