With Smart Interaction you can use speech to control your 2012 Samsung Smart TV with Voice Control.
This is a quick overview on using the Voice Control function.
To use Voice Control you must pronounce words and phrases clearly and correctly in the language you selected during setup.
You can either speak directly to the TV using the built-in Mic,
or use the Voice button on your Smart Touch Control and speak into the Mic on the remote.
To activate Voice Control say the trigger words "Hi TV" or "Smart TV".
This will bring up the Voice Command Bar. Now say a word or phrase listed in the Voice Command Bar.
There are several options which may vary depending on the source, feature, or function running in the background.
While on the HDMI input Source, Play and Pause, Previous, Next, Volume Up and Volume Down, and more are available options.
We will use some of these examples for this demonstration.
To change the TV source, say "Source" and clearly say the input you want to change to.
For instance, saying "Source" then "HDMI one" would change the source to HDMI1.
While watching a movie, or during a photo slide show, you can pause and playback media.
Simply say "Pause" or "Play".
Use this same function for moving to the next chapter in a movie with "Previous" and "Next".
Say "Previous" to track back, and "Next" to track Forward.
You can also access several hidden features by saying "More Commands".
This will display many functions and feature options, including Smart Hub, Samsung Apps,
Search All, and the Signature Series Family Story, Fitness, and Kids Home.
Simply say "More Commands", then the feature in the More Commands menu you want to open, and you will be taken there.
We will say "Web Browser" so we can quickly access the internet on our Samsung Smart TV.
Quickly navigate to a specific website by pressing the Voice button on your Samsung Smart Touch Control,
then speaking the website name.
For instance, we will go to "Samsung dot com".
You can also access all the More menu features faster by simply saying the feature when the Voice Command Bar opens.
Let's try it! "Hi TV"; "Smart Hub"; and just like that, the Smart Hub menu will open.
If you find the Voice Command feature is not working properly, try running a Voice Control Environment Test.
And for best results, use the Voice button on your Smart Touch Control.
Simply press Voice and speak into the top of the remote.
It has a built in Mic!
Those are just a few of the ways you can use Voice Commands to control your Samsung Smart TV.
