The boat is magical in conditions such as these.
We’re enjoying a new lease of life
with the boat that’s for sure.
What’s lacking is the confrontation aspect
with the others for it to be perfect
as personally I like that kind of set-up.
We’re about to enter into the southern hemisphere
and right now anything is possible.
To be honest, to get around
the Saint Helena High will take time
and a great deal could happen in the meantime.
It’s really worthwhile continuing
to remain in contention and focused
as we all are aboard.
The group will come out of this stronger
and greater from this effort.
Indeed, as Damien said, to go from a 300-mile
lead to a 300-mile deficit requires a strong team
to turn the situation around
and it’s a very good collective point
for us all to focus on.
We’re not going to say that this is how
we wanted things to pan out though.
We’re not happy with this type of situation.
However, we’re only at the midway point
in the first leg
so we’re not about to start biting our nails.
