Hello hello, artists. This is the Krita
Tutorial 4. If you have not seen the previous ones
I recommend you to look at my
channel and watch them. Now I will make a
demonstration of the brushes. I will
start with acrylic.
Acrylic is a plastic paint that
is usually sold in small bottles and
painted with a brush.
It is quite similar to oil but dry
faster and has water resistance.
This is an example of a painting
made with acrylic brushes.
Remember that you can see below
name of the brush.
I'm using the tablet now.
This is a brush that does
nothing but peaks.
As the name suggests this is a 'blender'.
*Translating to Spanish*
So you have to paint over
another paint in order to mix
because if you paint outside it does nothing.
Here in this panel appears
the brush options. Here are several options
as the 'distance', for example.
That determines the speed at which
the brush moves.
The more distance, the more slower.
The less distance, the more fast.
With the 'delay' we see something similar.
If we put much delay
will cost more
make the stroke.
And if we do not
it will be instantaneous.
This is used to play with small
values and try to simulate
the resistance there is
when someone paints with the traditional style.
Resistance when someone applies,
for example, a brushstroke in a painting or
a stripe on a paper.
The ideal is to keep trying with these
values and put those you like more.
Now for testing I will
leave them at minimum to go faster.
This acrylic is drier.
This is like a roller.
This has a circular shape.
This has a more twisted form.
And this is wet.
Now I will show watercolors.
Watercolors instead of being made of
a plastic material such as acrylic,
they are based on pigments and water.
This would be a painting done with
watercolor brushes.
I personally don't notice much
difference in having these two options
activated or not.
But hey, I leave them at default values.
Watercolors have an appearance as more
wet, more damp.
All that changes from a brush to another one
it's whether the edge is harder or softer.
This is a textured brush.
This is like a knife to make forms
more fine.
This is different because what it does is
as if to apply water. That's why if you
paint outside does nothing and if you paint
above another stroke, makes this effect.
With this we see something similar
although with a strange effect.
This is also a mixer
to blur.
Drops.
The name of the brush tends to give a
clue of what it does. It's convenient
to look at it sometimes.
This is like a ... water type.
Similar.
This is drier.
This is gouache. Not exactly watercolor,
it's gouache, a similar technique,
also based on water.
This is also to blur.
Okay, so now I'll pass to airbrushes.
The airbrush is like
a spray.
This is a painting done with airbrushes ...
... and what it does is ...
... a fairly soft effect.
It comes in handy especially for
shading.
Remember that you can change the opacity
or transparency to make it clearer
or harder.
Well, the only difference between one
or other is the force they have.
They are quite similar.
I will skip the label 'Animal' because
those are textures. I will explain that
in another video.
I will go directly to pens.
Here are not many.
But hey, it's the typical
pen effect.
Not much mystery.
These are the pens that I use for
drawing on the traditional style.
This is a drawing done with pens ...
... traditional pens.
Here are the erasers.
This is with circle shape.
This is smaller for details.
And this is like a kneaded eraser
to erase more smoothly.
And this is to make ...
...small...
... as if we were adding bright
lines, like hairs.
Anyway, using the same brush and
pressing this button
we would be using the same brush
to erase.
No need to use a eraser brush like these.
These are typical erasers. This is
the smoothest (kneaded eraser), these are harder
and this is a electric eraser.
This is where paintbrushes are.
They ar different depends on whether it is dirtier ...
...flatter...
... hair shape.
This like a rake
or a brush to comb.
This is rougher with chaotic edge.
Softer.
Another with hair shape.
More rakes.
Soft. This is a drawing done with
this brushes.
It is seen by these type of
marks they left.
These ones here and these marks.
They are all quite similar. The truth is
with less than half of them it'd probably
be enough.
But it's always a good idea to have a lot
in case we need it at some point.
The name of the brushes is as it
came by default when I downloaded it.
I haven't changed it.
If you download them
you should see them with the same names.
Now we go with charcoal.
There are in pencil form and in
wood piece form that is burned ...
... singed. Normally the '3B' is one of
the softest and
darkest. The 'B'
it would be somewhere in the middle.
And the 'H' it's the hardest ...
It will be less black and a little grayer.
The 'H' comes from 'hard'.
and 'B' comes from 'black'.
This is a small charcoal.
This is softer.
This is in pencil form.
And this is even thinner.
This is an example of a painting
made with charcoal brushes ...
... with these brushes.
This drawing is also made with
charcoal, but traditional style.
Now I'll try
circular brushes.
These brushes are fully digital.
They do not resemble any
traditional material.
So...
all they do is to paint ...
a circular shape. This as
you can see it has some transparency.
This is virtually the same but with
a slightly harder and sharper edge.
This with a softer edge.
This is the same but it's
totally opaque.
This is smaller.
They are quite similar.
The only thing that changes is the opacity, the size
and if the edge is hard or soft.
These are two brushes of crayon
or color pencils.
And they do a fairly good texture.
These are the typical color crayons...
made of wax. And these are the color pencils
lifelong.
Here we have the cloning tools.
What this does is to show two brushes
at the same time. With the 'Control' key
you click on the part you want to
clone and then you should paint somewhere
else and it appears just ...
what the other brush is ...
... cloning.
This is the same but distorting it.
This also doing some kind of ...
weird effect.
This is the same but as a rake.
This with a rectangular flat brush.
This does the same but with
softer edge.
The video ends here. I would like
know your opinion.
