Twerk it out!
Twerk it out!
Work it out! It's all about the twist out!
Oh, that's right, you wanna call it a flat twist, a twist out, twisted.
Call it whatever you want. We all know it's twisted up in here!
Okay, first you guys are gonna need your favorite products.
Now I don't know what you guys like, but my hair likes leave-in conditioner, that I like to put in a spray bottle.
And I seal it with coconut oil. But sometimes that makes the curls soft so you might wanna go with the ECO Styler gel.
It's up to you.
Anyways, part your hair like so, into sections.
Now the bigger the section, the longer it takes for your hair to dry. The smaller, the quicker, and the tighter the curl.
Then I seal it with the coconut oil, okay?
'Cause my hair be dry up dry up.
So this is perfect for protective hairstyles, going to bed--a lot of you guys don't like the pineapple.
Two strand twist. And that's the first one I'm doing right now.
Quote, unquote, 'two-strand twist.'
So you just work your way around your head. Sections.
Do a little jam.
Yeah, this--I used to do this every night before going to bed, a few years back when I was living in Vancouver,
and oh my goodness, my hair was so healthy.
But ain't nobody got time for that business!
And right, the most important part you wanna pay attention to is the front, because, you know, that's what frames your face.
So put the part where you require it to be
And get jiggy.
Shoulder, shoulder.
[Music] Work it out! It's all about the twist out! The twist out! Twerk it out!
It's all about the twist out! The twist out! Work it out!
Okay, number 2! This is option number 2.
This is referred to as the flat twist, because it stays flat on your head, girls!
Now, if you know how to braid this is pretty simple and straight forward.
But if you don't, what you do is you create sections-- and again, I like to work in smaller sections because I want a tighter curl.
I put in my leave-in conditioner that's in the spray bottle, and when you twist your hair back, you're picking up hair as you go along.
That's whats keeping it on your head as opposed to floating in outer space.
That's what differentiates--big words, Maya! Differentiates between this and the other one.
It's very coolio.
So work in the leave-in conditioner, twist it out, bring it back.
Get it around your entire head.
And again, the front which frames your face is the part you wanna focus on.
And I'm not a stickler for parts; I don't want a super straight line.
I don't mind it being jagged.
Yeah, so that's the final overall head look. Oh, I look like Medusa!
Oh, you failed, Maya.
So then you diffuse it. You can diffuse it--I don't ever diffuse it, I'm doing it for this video
But you can diffuse or you can go to bed with it.
And I go to bed with a two strand twist when I have time.
And if you can't go to bed, you put your head in a head wrap.
And you go about your business.
You can do it... like this.
This is perfect for going to bed 'cause it doesn't flatten out the twists. It stays at the top of the pineapple.
And then the next day, or whenever it's dry-- make sure it's 100% dry--you unravel.
Now if you don't let it dry completely, it's not a bad thing. It just doesn't have... as well of a defined curl.
So this is still a little damp, so it's tighter.
And this is for my Valentine video. It's looser.
Because i did it on bolder, greasier hair.
And I felt like the grease in my hair loosened the curl.
So that's it. You guys, if you like this song, make sure you like it so our homeboy Jay Ellyiot will post it on itunes.
Just work it out girls! Work it out. Twerk it out. Twist out.
Twist out.
