Now I'm going to show you how to clean the mouthpiece of your clarinet. Now this really
does need to be done a lot. As you can imagine you put a lot of moisture into this piece
of the instrument. But I have a mouthpiece brush right here, of course we'll use water,
and a little bit of dish detergent. Now one thing I want to stress is you never ever want
to boil a mouthpiece. Because your mouthpiece will get ruined, and you don't ever want to
put it in the dishwasher too. Because that will ruin it as well, the dish detergent will
turn it all kinds of fun colors. But basically we wet down our mouthpiece cleaner here, and
we just want to scrub real good. Get all the stuff out of there. If you want to soak it
in some soapy water for a little while to help loosen things up that will work too.
But that is how you clean your mouthpiece.
