as far as the workshop is concerned it was hell of a ride infact it would i would like
to say that
those were some of the best hours i spend
infact to be precise
the fastest 27 hours of my professional life
very exciting
uh... learned a lot
uh... this simulation taught us what you know one would go through as a CEO
0 uh... i would
highly recommend that for seinor and middle level managers
uh... some of the key takeaways
being a sales and marketing guy you dont
end up conducting the financial parameters which are
which are very critical because
all you to in the market place even if we win
do not always mean financial help to the organization
which is what the simulation workshop taught us
Quarter on Quarter all the simulation excercises that we have done
taught us that you know
there are quite a few needs as per market shares are concerned
being uh... an organization is more focused on market share and gaining market share
but then
uh... one question we need to ask ourselves very clearly is that are we
gaining market share profitabilly or not
was a very big realisation apart from
uh... understanding and enhanced sensitivity to certain financial statements
like balance sheet profit and
loss statement and cash flows which
tell you wether you are doing the
right business the right way
profitably second
and third wether you have good enough
money in your balance sheet to sustain your operations and invest for them
so overall it was an excellent workshop and gave me an understanding
which is
financial side of the business
and it actually put me in the drivers seat
and that made me feel it
what it takes to run an organisation so next time my organisation talks about cost cutting
i would really appreciate it
because i know now what
and how could it is going to impact the financial health of my organisation
