In this video we'll show you how to let your members
add links to their directory profiles. You will need to modify the templates
in order to let members submit the links, for you to edit the links
and finally to display it in the profiles.
Let's see how it works.
First click on directory profile.
Let's say we want to display the links at the bottom
of the About section up the profile.
In the bottom up the About tab will click on Add Box.
For type will choose Profile links.
We want all of our members to be able to add links
so we'll select Always visible.
Once the box is added, click on Save Template
to ensure that the changes are saved in the system.
Now MemberFindMe will display the member's links
in their directory profiles. But we need to also provide a way for the members to
submit their links.
So let's start with the member sign-up template.
Let's add the profile links on the on the profile tab.
Click on Add Box and select Profile Links.
Here we are going to add a title and description
to let members know what this is for.
Clicking on Save Box creates the new profile links box.
If we want to place this box right below the profile description,
we can drag and drop this box into place.
Now click on save template to save the changes.
We're going to repeat this in the Member Manage template.
This will allow members the ability to update their links
when they sign in to manage their account. Finally,
if we want to be able to edit the members links from our administrative
back-end, we will also add the Profile Links box
to the Admin Profile template.
