\f0\fs26 \cf0 Edward Hernandez of Bogot\'e1, Columbia was recently dubbed the world\'92s
shortest man, by Guinness World Records. He is 24 years old and is 2 feet, 3 inches tall.
\'93I am happy to be recognized as the shortest man in the world,\'94 he said. And then he
added, \'93The more unusual you are, the more you should fight and work harder.\'94\
\'a0\ When I read that I began to think how difficult
it must be for people who are perceived different.\'a0 It affects relationships, where they work,
the jobs they can do. For the most, being \'93different\'94 in almost any way is handicap.\
\'a0\ That\'92s a challenge to those who perceive
themselves as normal. How comfortable are you with folks who are different? Do you relate
to them differently?\'a0 The truth is each one of us is a unique unrepeatable miracle
of God. We should celebrate our uniqueness, value it and affirm the uniqueness of others.\
\'a0\ This is my word of hope. I\'92m Maxie Dunnam
and I believe in Memphis.\ \'a0\
