The question is asked, how to throw a chopball. First of all, the first finger or pointy finger
goes across the seams in a foreseen manner much like the fastball. Secondly the longest
finger on your hand would go beside it, and the thumb would go very near the pointer or
first finger. The ring finger would go outside the ball and the little finger would literally
go under the ball. When you prepare to throw - once you get your grip accordingly, as
we prescribed it, when you throw the ball you release it much as you would a curve ball,
which creates the downward motion or the chop. And basically we need to get our hand outside
the ball at this position, rotate our hand 'til we get the back of our hand towards home
plate, and release it much like you do a curve ball. Remember to get the thumb near the first
finger or the pointy finger, the other finger on top, this ring finger on the side, and
the little finger completely under the ball. Release it like a curve ball, and that's how
we throw a chopball.
