Do you have a screaming toothache and you just don't know what you can do for it? Well
my name is Michelle and I'm a dental assistant with Solutionz and I'm here to explain to
you on what you can do for your severe toothache. Pretty much the first thing that you would
need to do is immediately go see your general dentist. If you are unable to see him, whether
you are having the toothache over the weekend or you just can't get to see him for an appointment
then another type of treatment option that you can do at home for yourself to subside
the symptoms that you are having with the toothache is maybe purchase some over-the-counter
what we call Ora Gel. It is a numbing medication that you can place on the tooth and around
the gums and this will actually numb the area for about a good 20 to 30 minutes. You can
do that consistently throughout the day, also taking some Advil or Ibuprofen is a great
pain reliever to take to help with the discomfort that you might be having due to the fact that
Ibuprofen and Advil have an anti-inflammatory inflammation that might be starting to flare
up from your toothache and also rinsing with warm salt water rinses is a great treatment
option to do if you can't see your general dentist because what the warm salt water will
do is actually it will start to sooth that area. It is not going to take the pain away
completely nor will the Advil or the Ibuprofen so that is why it is very important to go
see your general dentist as soon as possible and therefore he would be able to prescribe
you the antibiotic to prevent any further infection and then also too a pain reliever
that is a lot stronger than Advil or Ibuprofen and then he would give you a good diagnosis
on the type of treatment options that you can do in order to make sure that your severe
toothache doesn't happen again. Once again my name is Michelle. I'm a dental assistant
with Solutionz and I just explained to you on what you can do for a severe toothache.
