- [Yuval] So, I'm here on the streets of New York City,
asking all kinds of random people,
whoever crosses my path or I cross theirs,
I'm asking them all the same question, and it's,
what have you done to make this world a better place?
- [Marcus] Hold on, gimme a sec, I gotta think about it.
Okay, let me think about that.
- [Yuval] I'm Yuval David.
We all have a responsibility to improve the lives of others,
and the world around us.
What have you done to make this world a better place?
- Ooh, I gotta think about this.
- [Marcus] Okay, I got one.
Okay, so, while I was in high school,
there was a whole bunch of kids,
like it was the first day of school,
and like, you know, I was a senior.
And I was like, since I'm leaving,
I gotta be able to leave my mark, you know?
All this high school knowledge is useless to me.
So, why don't I mentor three other children?
I chose three, and I was like, let me mentor them
and help them get through high school,
and help them be the best that they can be.
When I was in high school,
it was kinda just like huh, whatever, you know?
I was kinda, I didn't have my own, like my own thing.
I knew I wanted to be an actor
but I didn't really have that,
and seeing them like all being so shy,
like and whenever after I helped them,
they're all like, "Oh my God, thank you, Marcus,
you're the best, like we love you so much.
Without you this wouldn't have been possible."
So you know, I guess what I've done,
is help the younger generation come up
to better themselves, and to help the kids after them.
I'm glad I could have helped.
Like I'm glad I could have been a part of that.
So it just makes me really excited and happy
to see that I could have helped them.
And seeing them do their best
kind of inspired me to do my best,
and now I'm here following my dreams.
And when they see me doing that, they're like,
"He's doing amazing, and he showed us.
So why can't we do it?"
- [Yuval] Okay so I would love to ask you the same question.
- I can definitely relate to what he kind of
just spoke about being a mentor to other people.
I think we live in a society where, you know,
it can be very difficult to be yourself,
and feel comfortable being who you truly are.
So, something that I've always tried to hold myself to
is just inspiring other people to be themselves.
I've always liked to like paint my nails, and so,
they're not painted right now.
- [Yuval] They're not painted right now?
- Yeah. It doesn't matter if you're a boy,
it doesn't matter who you are,
you should always be able to do anything you want to do.
I remember I had a friend,
and I was like, let's, and he was a guy,
and I was like, "Wanna go get,
I'm going to get my nails done, like do you
wanna come with me?"
And he was like, "Sure", and it was amazing
to see the smile on his face doing something
he's never experienced before.
He was not expecting himself to do something like that,
so that was just really cool to see,
and just, yeah, I wanna inspire people to be themselves,
and not be afraid of who they are, so yeah.
- [Yuval] That's a great answer, both of you.
Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for watching this video.
I hope that it inspired you to
make a difference in your community.
So the question still stands:
what have you done to make this world a better place?
