Dr. Wight: When he came out he looked great, but then he started to get sicker and sicker.
Mia: Sadly, well, from what I hear, his lungs are not developed as my parents want them
to be.
Karyn: They said they were going to have to take him to NICU.

chest caves in, and he had to have a breathing tube placed.
Karyn: Can I touch him?
NICU Nurse: (off camera) Uh- huh.
Dr. Wight: … and get Surfactin, which helps keep your lungs open.
NICU Nurse: When mom is touching baby, their heart rates will slow, their blood pressures
will lower, all of their vital signs will improve.
Dr. Wight: We truly are an intensive care unit for very sick babies.
Karyn: You’re coming home … for the first time. Hello. Your brother that you’re going
to love and protect. Talk to him; he’ll probably recognize your voice.
Mia: Hi, Archer.
