And why so many signs are bilingual, along with all the product labels. So you should
learn Spanish to talk to a lot of your neighbors.
They should learn English.
Yes, if only so the Mexican immigrants can talk to the Chinese immigrants. But until
that happens, it helps to be able to talk to them.
What’s another reason?
You could travel from Texas to Tierra del Fuego and communicate with everyone along
the way in Spanish.
Brazil speaks Portuguese. Large areas of Argentina speak European languages like German and Italian.
And in places like Panama and Costa Rica, as many speak English as Spanish.

Spanish is spoken by many people in the Philippines.
