Do you ever wonder if your ad copy has the right messaging?
Or if changing your ad text, display ad images, or display URLs could could affect your clickthrough rate?
Well, with AdWords Campaign Experiments,
you can test and measure how these changes to your ads
affect your campaign performance.
I own a motorcycle shop
and I'm in my "Scooter Sales" ad group.
In this example,
I want to create a new text ad
where I'll test new ad text and a new display URL.
My new ad looks as follows.
Before I click "Save,"
I select "Add as experiment-only ad" at the bottom of the screen.
I want to test how this new ad compares to my original ad,
so now I need to label my original ad as "Control only".
In a few weeks, I'll be able to see which ad performs better.
While we just learned how you can use AdWords Campaign Experiments
to test text ads vs text ads,
you can also use ACE to test text ads vs display ads,
or display ads vs other display ads.
