>> Karla Kennedy-Hagan: Nowadays I use
the technology in my research and it is just
engrained; it's a part of the process.
It's naturally just more comfortable, it's much more time
effective and it allows a lot of good information to be provided.
Technology is important in my role as a faculty member because
it is something I am teaching my students as well, so that
technology component allows the students to engage in the
research; to look at the numbers, to run statistics on
the numbers, and then make decisions on the final outcome.
The purpose behind that is that, with the research
and technology combined, you can get more information and it's
easier to manipulate that information and to do
an analysis of the information, and so the technology piece
is really critical.
