Making a Nandroid backup in TWRP custom recovery is easier than you may think it would be.
First, make sure your device is turned off and boot into the recovery mode by pushing
down the volume down button and power rocker together
at the same time.
Select Custom Recovery and wait until it loads. Now, tap on the Backups menu and you will
be presented with a list of possible backups that you can make. Check
all of the boxes if you want to make a complete backup, which should always be done
when you first get your device just for safety purposes.
After that just slide your finger to the right for it to start the process. Depending on
how many apps you have installed it should not take long at all. Once it's
done, just tap on Reboot system and you should be all set.
Your backup will be saved in your internal memory in a folder called TWRP. What I recommend
you do now is copy the backup to your personal computer so you never lose it.
