Here we are in Erawan National Park,
walking up to the waterfall.
I had a great day at the national park. There are seven waterfalls that you
can hike to when you arrive there, over a two kilometer hike up the hill
and its
fantastic. Each of these waterfalls are amazing
in their own right
and I set myself a challenge to swim in each and every one of them. This
particular one was one of the biggest ones,
lower down the hill, one of the more popular watering holes,
there's heaps of people there and as you go up, of course, there is less and less people and
you get these amazing waterfalls basically almost to yourself.
The uppermost fall is said to represent Erawan which is the three headed
elephant of Hindu mythology.
It's really easy to get there, you can take a bus which departs from Kanchanaburi
all the way to the entrance, takes about two hours. They leave from Kanchanaburi
every hour and a half or so. That was
one of the rock slide waterfalls, I wasn't as elegant as the girls that
we there.
And yeah, it takes about two hours to get there and when you're in the park
itself, you can rent a bicycle for 20 baht a day or a pickup truck for 500
baht an hour.
65 kilometers, northwest of Kanchanaburi, along Route 3199
and
it's just so worth going there, it's a really unique place to visit are you are literally
in the middle of paradse.
Seventh Tiered Waterfall, seven waterfalls, gonna go for a swim.
You can also pitch a tent, there is bungalows
available
as well
but I just can't recommend it enough. If you're in central Thailand and you want to
go to an amazing national park, go there.
