>> No matter what you want to do, no matter who you are, no matter what you inspire to be,
Dartmouth has a way of making it all work, and making it work for everyone,
not just a particular type of student.
>> So I started working for humanitarian engineering my sophomore year,
and I actually wound up doing an independent study with a professor in power electronics.
He actually worked with me one on one, got me up to speed really fast,
and I was able to start playing around basically
with a small hydro power plant that we built in our backyard.
>> All the professors are very encouraging for students to not only just, you know,
complete a class and get a grade, but they want you to continue
and sustain your intellectual interests on, in a topic.
>> Dartmouth really, really tries to make sure that you understand different cultures.
>> My freshman summer, I went to Oman.
Then I would, I think I was home for three weeks,
and went to Morocco with Dartmouth Arabic program.
>> It immerses you in the culture so far that you don't have a choice
but to understand and embrace the language.
>> My work in developing nations has really been key to my experience here.
One of the awesome things about it is there's a ton of support for that kind of work.
There's a lot of that kind of work going on on campus.
>> The diverse array of traveling experiences that I've gotten is really incredible
and one of the best parts of my Dartmouth experience.
