VOICE OVER: There's a new Australia. One where innovation and ideas are just as valuable
as our natural riches. Australia is a clever country. And we're starting to make the most
of it. That's why, right now, we're continuing to partner with Australian pioneers to help
them realise their most ambitious projects. Pioneers like Michael Kuhn.
By working with Telstra, Michael enabled Australia's largest bus company to offer onboard wifi
and real-time fleet monitoring. The real-time data helped managers keep vehicles operating
within limits and saved on repairs and downtime.
MICHAEL KUHN: Telstra in the past used to be a network provider, in my opinion. Now
they are becoming more of a technology partner for us.
VO: Ian Harvison and Sean Taylor took advantage of Telstra's Cloud facilities to make sure
their business keep running no matter what, so they could refocus on industry innovation.
SEAN TAYLOR: I can be up and running for business regardless of any situation happening.
IAN HARVISON: We actually shut down our data centre and moved that all totally to Telstra
cloud solution.
VO: Terry Davis worked with Telstra to create machines that ordered for themselves and build
strong digital relationships with customers at point of sale, opening the door to ongoing
offers.
TERRY DAVIS:Telstra won our IT Supplier of the Year Award last year and we take our Supplier
of the Year Award very, very seriously.
VO: Then there's Stephen Hogan and William Peffer. They introduced the first electric
car in Australia to feed data back to headquarters in real time, minimising development outlay
and reducing operational costs .
STEPHEN HOGAN: We see the future with our cars as being m two m enabled. We've chosen
Telstra as our strategic partner for this and we see that continuing in the future.
WILLIAM PEFFER: At Nissan we've traditionally been a challenger brand, which means we need
to work smarter and faster in the marketplace. Working with companies such as Telstra really
allow us to reach our goals in the short term, medium term and long term.
VO: And Geoff Spark. He was able to change the way Australians view television by delivering
the first 3D broadcast of the Olympic Games.
GEOFF SPARK: We have a deep relationship with Telstra so that when we do need to do something
and there is something that's popped out of the ground, we naturally just turn to Telstra.
It's a safe pair of hands.
VO: Telstra is supporting our pioneering business people. Because today Australia sees itself
in a new light. Today is for The Clever Australian.
