If this transfer is part of a work of art, you're also going to have to worry about how
to sign it. You know, to put your John Hancock on here to be able to make sure that people
know that you did this big bad photo transfer, collage, or other artistic endeavor. So here
is a couple ways you can sign it. First off you can get like a good felt tip pen. See
that doesn't show up very well? You have to go up over it multiple times. Let's try a
more heavy duty pen.
Better, but you can still see that it's a little faded. So my preferred way of signing
this, is if you can get yourself some black acrylic paint. This is the best way, and you'll
have like a nice little thin brush here, put some on the tip of the brush, now let's see
how it looks. Much better, much clearer, much darker. Especially keep in mind that you may
have, this may not be bare wood underneath here. You may have collages and paint and
razor blade gouges all going throughout here. So you're going to want something that's really
going to stand out. Now as soon as the paint starts getting a little dryer, go back and
get some more. Nice simple lines. If you want to be all swooshy and cursive, good for you.
I'm just going over the basic printing here. Make sure we get it right, and you'll see
it shows up much better than either of the pen options. You may be able to find some
thick pens, but in general wood has some grooves to it and paints will fill those grooves in
better than a felt marker will.
