I want to show my hair I set it differently I um, instead of using eight braids I used
two so just one on each side. This is the second time I have done this. As my hair gets
longer I am able to set it with um just fewer and fewer units. Like when my hair was a bit
shorter I used to use twists and it started getting longer and I started using braids
like 8 braids instead of using a lot of twists and now I'm using two braids. There's somewhat
of like, kind of elongates my hair. It's just a natural option.. yeah my, my hair basically,
there's no heat or anything like that it's just elongated because I used two braids.
I took the braids out. Well it's a little bit different with just using two braids to
set my hair and the reason for that is because my hair gets combed, my hair gets combed when
I am done in the shower I go ahead and comb it in the direction that I am going to make
the two braids. So at the top it is divided, you know like it's parted to the sides so
what I end up having to do is my hair stays wet... I feel like it stays wet longer this
way so I end up waiting 24 hours and then I end up going to bed and waking up and when
it's time to go to bed again for night time and both times my hair has still been wet,
like wetter than it normally is like when I use eight braids. I still take out the two
braids and I put them into a night time routine. Like when I am going to do a night time routine
I have to put a braid up at the top, so in addition to the braid I put here in the front
and the two in the back, I make an extra braid here and the reason for that is because my
hair is divided and it's placed into two braids and my hair ends up being set that way and
it stays parted up at the top and so that division, that smoothing is not too compatible
with just having my hair loose and kind of having it flow around. So I put a braid here
in the front and that is just to bring some of the hair down the middle of my head in
the back. I end up doing that and them my hair in the morning is dry and I take it out
and you know add shea butter and everything and then yeah and then it's good, it's fine.
So I am noticing is that my hair is much more elongated and I am able to enjoy the length
a lot and the curls are not as defined. The curls are like stretched out and it's because
I am using two braids. Two braids are heavier than you know than several braids. The curves
on the braids you know are larger so that's what ends up happening.. is an elongated result.
..and it's really easy, it doesn't take that long, it's really quick to just get out of
the shower, put my hair in two braids and be done so, I am going to be doing this for
a while. I will probably still be using the eight braid method as well when I want super
defined curls but for ease of putting in and taking out.. Here is a little bit of footage
of my hair in two braids. My hair wet and in two braids and I'll show a couple of days
of results. This braid is bigger than this braid because
of the way my hair is parted. I parted it in a way so that I end up with more hair on
this side, I just sometimes do that, make parts that are not even but it's okay I don't
mind the way my hair ends up falling. It's mostly because of the front, I want there
to be just a slight angle in the front so... My hair is wet and I basically do what I normally
do which is detangle with conditioner you know on wet hair in the shower and then shampoo
my scalp really well a couple of times and then condition. Then I got out and I used..applied
leave in conditioner and a natural styling gel. Yeah so I like the results it's so much
easier to just do two braids. I did anticipate that I would be able to decrease the number
of braids to set my hair.
