The stylist sections the hair in order to integrate the twists into the clients current style. Section the areas you want to be twisted.
Any hair that is not being twisted or platted needs to secured to avoid disturbing your sections.
Take the section of hair and sub divide into two stems.
Twist one stem of hair over the other, then take a small section of hair from the front of the twist and incorporate that into the bottom stem of hair.
Then twist the stems together and repeat the process by continually adding more hair to the bottom stem after each twist.
Continue the process and then secure it using grips.
Carry out the same procedure for the other side.
The tension of the twists can create a variation of looks and styles. To create an even look ensure you maintain a suitable and even tension throughout the service.
Confirm client satisfaction with the end result. Finish with hairspray to maintain the look and provide any after care advice.
