Hi, it's Julie Smith of NetMarketingNavigator.com. Hi, it's Julie Smith of NetMarketingNavigator.com.
Are you ready to make the leap to the next level of success in your business? Have you
been thinking that your website and brand may be in need of some assistance? Ever found
yourself singing the "I hate my website" blues?
Well, today I'm starting a video series on the 5 Signs Your Website is Holding You Back.
Your website should be the hub of all your online marketing activity. There are probably
a number of marketing tactics and activities that you're using to spread the word about
your products and services online. And all of them either flow into or out of your website...your
"home" on the web. And it's hugely important that you have a clean, user-friendly, professional
website that works FOR you 24-7.
Today, we're going to talk about the first sign that your website is actually holding
you back from the success you're striving for.
Sign #1: Your "starter website" worked in the beginning, but it doesn't really represent
how professional you are.
When you started your business, chances are, (like most of us) you were a bit cash-strapped
and pinching your pennies, spending money on only the most essential things you needed
to get up and running and get money coming in the door. You decided, at some point, you
needed a website and you wanted to get it up as quickly and inexpensively as possible.
That's reasonable. It's what you needed to do!
Maybe you created your website yourself. Maybe your friend's techie ***-kid, or your friend
or family member with a little html skill, put together a site for you.
However you got your site, chances are good it's not as professional as it could be. The
layout is cluttered or has no logical flow. There are too many colors and fonts. Don't
even get me started on the navigation and where that's going. Maybe there are too many
images or the graphics aren't crisp and clear. There's no design flair. Many like to "think"
they have an "eye for design" or some hidden graphic design talent, but it's the small
details that go into a design that can make all the difference in the world between a
beginner site and a highly effective, professional site.
You've only got 3-4 seconds to catch your visitor's attention and get them to stay around
your site and read on. Once they leave, they'll probably never come back.
This website served you well in the beginning. It gave you an online presence and helped
you get your business off the ground. But if it's time for your business to grow up
a bit, you absolutely MUST have a professional, clean and visually appealing site, with a
clear message, to effectively help you move your business to the next level.
