My name is Jay Iannacito and I am the scenario lead for the Coalition Warriors Interoperability Demonstration in San Diego.
We are in the middle of a nine day scenario of natural and man made disasters that are the backdrop for a number of
technology assessments that are being evaluated by the war fighters you see standing behind me.
They are made up of representatives from San Diego Police Department, Naval Region Southwest, the New Zealand Navy,
the U.S. Coast Guard and SPAWAR reservists.
Somebody has brought a dirty bomb in to San Diego and they've set it off on Broadway Pier.
So we're now working as an EOC to get that straightened out and find out exactly what's going on.
Our EOC director is doing that, and as communications officer I've sent out our emergency team with out sattelite communications
to video the scene so we can actually see what's actually happening there.
Come here to this page and we can actually go in and create blogs, update blogs and edit blogs.
San Diego State is helping bridge the gap between military acquisition and academia. They are also providing the Center which allows
for a great number of visitors that we are receiving to watch these technology trials and evaluations.
