>> Student: Cause if you have a number you could add the 0 and it’s 10 so you have
17 like counting all of us kids, and if you add the 0 at then end then it will tell you
how many fingers.
>> MARGARET: That was an excellent answer. Wasn’t that a smart thing to say? He said
for 17 kids, which is what we have, we can just put a 0 on the end of 17 because we have
10 and 10 has a 0, we have 170. Do you think he’s right? Let’s count. I want all the
class to put their fingers up. Brandon are you going to put the fingers up? I’m going
to count by 10 and I need your help. We’re going to start with 10. I’m going to touch
everybody. Are you going to put your fingers in the game? And let’s see if Logan’s
right, if we have 170 fingers in the class.
