Greg Foot: Hey guys, so this is the seventh explanation video from the 12 Explosions of
Christmas. I'm Greg - Mike Sansom: and I'm Mike!
Greg: But you should probably know that by now if you've been watching all of these!
So for the seventh day the suggestion was to use seven chestnuts, and roast them with
a blow torch. Mike: That sounds amazing!
Greg: It sounds small... Mike: Or we could use seven bags of chestnuts,
and these bad boys! Greg: Yeah! So these are flame cannons. They're
absolutely wicked, Mike used them at Bestival earlier this year.
Mike: OK, so here we've got a hopper tank, this takes the propane from a very small nozzle
and increases it to three quarters of an inch when it comes out. So, to stop it coming out
first of all, we have a solenoid valve, now this is an electric fired valve, we can use
a remote control to open up the valve. And then we've got 80,000 volts -
Greg: Just a few, yeah! Mike: - to ignite it.
Greg: We're going to be able to press the remote control. It's gonna fire a really powerful
spark to cross that gap, eject all the propane, light all the propane, and that is going to
roast seven bags of chestnuts! Mike: I'm really excited about this one.
Greg: How big's the flame gonna be?! Mike: You wait!
Mike: I think that worked! Greg: Yeah!
Mike: There's a couple of roast -- you can smell them!
Greg: Mmmm, they're quite tasty now! HOT HOT HOT HOT!
Mike: Officially roasted!
