Women produce testosterone, it's important to understand that testosterone isn't just
a boy thing. Testosterone is produced by the ovaries of women and also the adrenal glands
of women in roughly 50/50 concentrations. Testosterone does exactly in women what it
does in men; the difference is that women produce far less testosterone, about 5 to
10% on average of what the male produces. Testosterone is important in bone structure,
it's important in *** function, it's important in energy levels and it's important for metabolism
in general. It's an essential hormone for women in the fact that it is one of the three
major sex steroids that women produce: oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone.
