Any other memories of note?
Any sort of strange anecdotes?
Well, back then they used to just sort of randomly assign odd jobs to people, like picking people up from places and stuff.
If there's something that I think would be interesting to Mega Man fans,
it's that I used to name the characters--especially the minor ones.
Naturally the bosses' names were just based on their image.
Like, Bomb Man used bombs. Those ones were obvious.
But as for the minor characters, like Changkey and Terry and Mettaur, I made all those names.
I was pretty random about it though.
-So you were the one who came up with Mettaur's name? -Yeah, that was me.
-You know, I say that word an awful lot. -Yes, thank you.
That means a lot to me.
I figured I would just assign random names for all the minor characters.
But I wanted the important characters and ones related directly to Mega Man to have music-themed names.
Oh, so you went and ran with that concept.
Yeah, that's how we ended up with Blues (Protoman), Beat, and all those guys.
Also Forte (Bass).
That's a pretty big facet of the Mega Man games.
Yeah, nowadays it probably is seen that way.
Yup, all that was thought up by a goober like me.
This is a big deal. Mettaur's name. . . .
Is that name related to the fact that it wears a helMET?
-I wanted to give that thing more of a "banzai" kind of name. -A "banzai" name?
-So. . . the Mettaur is is all helmet, right? -That's right.
Some people may have already figured it out, but it comes from "ALL MET".
You know what "all" means, right? And then the "met" from "helmet".
So that's "ALL MET".
But I thought "MET ALL" sounded better than "ALL MET".
