>>Erik: So entering college, you were immersed in political science and had some political
ambitions, but over time you transitioned into a business focus. What caused that change?
>>JT: Well, I mean I think the biggest thing was I took political science and I realized
itÕs not really about politics.
>>Erik: What do you mean?
>>JT: Political science is about is the grain ratio right in Africa to support the population
and I was falling asleep and I was like ``Where`s the deal?`` So I really just didn`t take to
it. You know I still kind of wonder if I`ll wind up in politics down the road, because
I`ve always been a big believer in just giving back to the community. But as a business man
now I have a healthy antagonism against politicians because many times I just don`t think they
understand the real world. So they are kind of sitting trying to make laws to help people
in their mind but sometimes they get the incentives wrong. They forget Ayn Rand, they forget that
the incentives have to be right for people to do it.
