>> Sanjay Varshney: Hi, I'm Sanjay Varshney.
I'm the Dean for the College of Business at Sacramento State.
Truly my pleasure to welcome you to our programs.
Our Business school has been in existence for over 60 years.
Our mission is to provide a business learning experience
that graduate effective and responsible business leaders
to produce quality research and to enrich our community.

>> Sanjay Varshney: If you're asking the question -
why choose Sacramento State's MBA program,
the answer is pretty simple.
I can actually give you multiple reasons
as to why you should choose our program.
The very first one, we offer the very highest quality education
in the region.
Because we are one of the top schools that is
in the five percent or fewer business schools in the world
that can say that we are AACSB accredited.
AACSB is a premier accrediting body for business schools
and we are a AACSB accredited program.
>> Roger Akers: The job market
for Sacramento State MBA's is always going to be good.
In this economic environment, it's almost essential
for these students to obtain this type of degree.
We hire them on an ongoing basis and these candidates are very,
very capable of entering our companies
and making a real difference to our companies as we build them.

>> Roger Akers: The professors and instructors
at Sacramento State University provide a unique blend
of academic excellence coupled
with real life business experience and knowledge
that they gained in their own careers.
These professors also take the time
to incorporate the local business community to help
in the instruction of these MBA
and develop their perspective relative
to the business environment that they are about ready to enter.
>> David Moore: We cover a couple
of cases throughout the semester
to reinforce the general theories that I present.
This gives the students a chance to apply the theories
to a real world situation.
I motivate students at the very first day of class
by letting them know my goal is for them to be successful
in this class and in life.
>> Anne Fuller: In addition,
because of the relatively small classes,
we're able to have a large amount of group project work,
and the projects permit each student the opportunity
to present and grow in your self confidence and your ability
to communicate your ideas to others.
This will prove to be an invaluable skill for you
when you return to the work force.
>> Matt Humason: So the MBA Program
at Sac State really has numerous facets for how we learn
and how we're educated.
It's not just about in class lectures and a lot
of hands-on work with both your school mates, with the college
of business, with professionals in the area, it's a,
it's a program that's really built around education that's
in the classroom, on the computer,
out in the real world doing real work, and so there's a lot
of parts that all come together
that really add to the overall value.

>> Jeff K. H. Niu: Other than being academically qualified
or professionally qualified, our faculty are encouraged to serve
at the faculty Advisory Board Student Clubs
and I am currently the Faculty Advisor
for the student club called International Business
Community, and in that community,
I constantly advise them and provide network links
to help them explore the cultural variations
in our Greater Sacramento Area.
>> Matt Humason: The MBA Networking Association is the
only MBA grad student organization
on campus at Sac State.
It is comprised of mainly students who are interested
in getting actively involved with the community as well
with their students and the professor
and the college of business.
The MNA, as we call it, is a integral part of adding
to the overall experience at Sac State and adds a lot more
to what is offered here on campus.
>> Holly Powers: Some of the fun things we do
at the MBA Networking Association is we hold monthly
mixers for all the students and it's a really good opportunity
for the students to get together informally and kind
of just really get to know each other on a more personal level
and build those bonds
and relationships outside of the classroom.
Well, here at Sacramento State
for the MBA program there is a lot of career support.
We do have a Career Services Center
where they offer resume help,
they also will do mock interviews with you,
which have been very beneficial to me just
to help get those heebie-jeebies out when you're nervous
about taking an interview.

>> Roger Akers: Some
of our newly admitted Sacramento State MBAs have fit
into a number of our tech related businesses
in the Sacramento region.
Some of those jobs have included computer science jobs
where they're actually doing programming
and systems development for one
of our portfolio companies CustomerLink.
In addition, we've also had these same students work
in our inside sales department selling to customers nationwide.
>> Sanjay Varshney: The world is rapidly evolving,
and if you look at the market place and you look
at the companies and the corporations and the businesses
out there, they are rapidly evolving.
If you look at the return on investment and you look
at the value proposition that we offer,
based on the tuition we charge, once again,
the answer is very clear
and simple Sacramento State MBA Program is extremely attractive
because you're getting the highest quality education
at an extremely reasonable cost.
