Hi, my name’s Greg Schneid, Regional Sales Manager for Aquire. A lot of my customers
are asking me how easy it is to print within OrgPublisher. So I thought I’d take a few
moments today to show you some of the new features within OrgPublisher around printing.
Currently we’re looking at a published chart showing several different styles. The style
we’re currently looking at is a directory view showing email addresses and photos. However,
we’ve also created a printing style on the top here. You’ll notice when we click on
that, there’s some different formatting changes that makes it more printer friendly.
Some of the changes are less colors, as well as smaller boxes. If we want to go and actually
print this chart we can hit the print preview icon at the top and it’s going to bring
up a couple options – the Wall Chart Style or the Book Style. If you have a plotter you
could utilize the Wall Chart preview, however, today we’re going to focus on the Book Style.
So let’*** “Preview”, and it’s going to bring up all of our formatted slides to
be printed out. Currently you’ll notice there’s over thirty-six slides, so we’ll
look at some of the options right now to be able to narrow those down. If we hit on the
Settings tab on the top, we’ll see that we have the page optimizer as one of the options.
So, we can adjust this to have fewer pages or more pages. Put that down the fewest pages,
and hit OK, and let’s see what happens. Now we’ll notice that there are eighteen
slides showing. If we want to do some additional formatting to these slides, if some of the
boxes are too close, we can go ahead and hit on Gerald Ponz’s box, and simply drag the
boxes from one location to another to apply that additional formatting. You’ll notice
that when we do that dragging, a yellow push-pin occurs over the slide on the top. This is
OrgPublisher’s way of telling us it’s noticed that we’ve made formatting changes.
Next time we come in and do some additional printing, OrgPublisher will remember those
changes so you don’t have to do this formatting over and over again.
So those are some of the printing features within OrgPublisher. If you’d like to learn
