It's an awesome honor and an awesome thing to have
on your resume for these types of things. It shows that you worked hard
in school, sports, and all the things you're involved in.
And to do all that simultaneously
it all culminates together into something that
it really embodies who you are and who you're trying to be. Clearly Augustana has
an incredible list of All-Americans. I couldn't have asked for a better experience as an Augie.
I think it's awesome that Augustana emphasizes
succeeding in your athletics, but succeeding in your academics first and foremost.
That's an awesome testament to the college and the athletic department.
My teammates and my fellow seniors all had a great time.
Draft was a good session, we made the national tournament, and that's all you could ask for.
I learn that I have an incredible support system and everything with my teammates,
my coaches, my professors
and everyone else that I encountered here at Augustana,
now I'm just more confident as an individual and more willing to
stick my neck out and try new things,
set high goals and try to achieve them.
I have applied to dental school and I tried to get
all those things sorted out, which is quite a process.
Now that's done, and I'm just waiting to hear on that.
It's a pretty demanding graduate school experience so you have to show that you're ready
and that you're capable to take on many things.
Being an athlete and being in involved in many other things on campus
shows that
you're a well rounded student, which I think is important.
Service is a big component too. Being in the healthcare field,
your career is dedicated to giving back
to people. So I think by doing random act of kindness and
any service things shows that you're a person that willing to dedicate the
rest of your life and your career doing that.
