Dennis: Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to Disney's
Princess Half Marathon.
I'm Dennis Marsico along with the Fairy Godmother Fairy
Godmother: (Giggling) Bippity Boppity Boo!
We are back again to give you all the tips you need to enjoy a
successful race.
Dennis: I just love when you do that Bippity Boppity thing!
Fairy Godmother: Bippity Boppity Boo!
(Laughing) Folks, before we can delve into anything about the
big race we must FIRST show you how to get around.
Dennis: Transportation has been arranged for Guests staying at
Walt Disney World Resort hotels including Shades of Green and
Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort.
Fairy Godmother: Buses will be indicated by event
transportation signs placed in the front windows.
Remember, transportation is only provided to and from the host
resorts.
If you are staying at a host resort, please check with your
front desk for a pick-up location.
Dennis: The busses will begin departure on race morning at
3:00AM.
Monorail transportation will be provided to the Start Area for
those participants staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort,
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and Disney's Polynesian
Resort beginning at 3:00 a.m.
Fairy Godmother: Well, Dennis, you can't forget about this!
Dennis: That is important!
This just in!
For participants driving to Epcot on race morning, expect
significant delays!
Some roads begin to close as early as 11:00 p.m.
on the evening before the Half Marathon.
Fairy Godmother: That's underlined!
Fairy Godmother: You must be in your corral at the
start line by 5:00 a.m.
or you will not be allowed to start.
Please note, it takes 20 minutes to walk from the Family Reunion
area to the start line.
Dennis: On the morning of the race, participants may place
necessary items inside the goody bag provided at Packet Pickup
and check this bag at the event site.
Remember, do not put other bags inside the provided bag.
All bags must be checked by 4:30 AM and must be claimed by 10:30 AM.
Please do not check valuables.
Articles of clothing that are found on the course will be
donated to charity.
Fairy Godmother: That is soooo nice!
Dennis: It is nice.
Very nice.

Can I call you Fairy?
Fairy Godmother: No.
Now that you are all ready to race, a couple of words about
Race Etiquette.
Dennis: It's important! ,Sorry.
Stay inside your assigned corral.
Don't run or walk more than 2 abreast.
Move away from water and food stations as soon as you get
yours.
And you know who you are.
Let others know when you are coming through Move aside as
other runners pass you.
And remember, you must maintain a 16 minute per mile pace.
Fairy Godmother: Oh, Let's talk about food!
And drink!
Water and some yummy food will be available for all race
finishers in the finish line and family reunion area.
Please be courteous to those finishing behind you and take
only one of each item.
Dennis? Where are you?

Dennis: I'm running.
Thought I'd grab some food.
Fairy Godmother: How many times have I told you ...

SAFETY REMINDER!
For the safety of yourself and the other participants, the
following are prohibited from the course: baby joggers,
strollers, baby carriers, baby backpacks, inline skates,
motorized scooters, bicycles, skateboards, canes, crutches,
and animals and baby animals of any kind.
If you are seen in violation of one of these you will be removed
from the course and transported to the finish line area.
